Sharp eyed readers may spot that I've added a second page to the blog. It's in the links (right of this text) entitled Sexually Explicit Photo Essays.

I differentiate between pure nudity, as is shown on the main page, and scenes of an explicit sexual nature. The human body, nude, is a thing of joy, wonder and beauty. It is not dirty, sordid or something about which we are, or should be, expected to feel shame over. We should be relaxed enough to share our naked bodies, in RL and in SL, without embarrassment.

Photographs of, and accompanying descriptions of, explicit sexual material is another matter. As well as photographs of heterosexual acts, the Photo Essays page will include material of gay and lesbian acts, and other sexual material. If in doubt DO NOT OPEN THE PAGE.

I don't want to do too much of an overhaul to the blog, having done a bit of an overhaul (hair) on myself, and this is hair I truly love, that is truly me! So I've opted for a new header photograph. Yes, I'm naked! And why not? There is nothing shameful about a naked body, real or pixellated, and I'm quite pleased with how I look. And, of course, as I expect others to be in the nuddy when appearing on these pages, I guess I have to lead by example. Above are some more snaps from the session.

Happy New Year, everyone. I've not gone into some gin-soaked coma, but I've been working on two different projects right now. The first is a new blog as a companion piece to this one, and the second is definitely the longest post I've ever done (maybe the longest SL-related post anywhere in cyberspace, lol) so it's occupying a lot of my SL related time, involving perceptions, realtites, relatives, reinventions, the accuracy of SL avatars to their RL drivers and a bunch of other stuff in between.

I've also got about 200 photos relating to the post, lol, so I need to whittle those down to about 5-6 and then select others for our flickr page.

Shameless plug, and Happy Christmas to me, lol

This is probably the last post before Christmas. Not sure, but you know the way routine goes out of the window at this tie of year. So on that basis I wish all readers of this blog a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Peace and love to you all.

Niche blogging

In the main, this blog focuses on the intimate/sexy end of SL and never strays far from that. Yes, of course how people define 'sexuality' is a wide range of topics, and it means we have a breadth of related stuff on which we can focus. But I feel that 2011 may well see an increase in niche blogging for Second Life, with people whose avatars reflect a specific area of interest begin to highlight product that reflects that area of interest, i.e. a knight in shining armour will end up blogging about the available swords, trusty steeds and outfits for damsels in distress.

I do feel that the era of one-size-fits-all regarding blogging will decline in importance in the forthcoming year, with bloggers focussing on narrower areas of interest. If the writing's up to scratch, we will see the emergence of several expert bloggers, and the decline of some of the more revered blogs.

Prince Albert

Ouch! Thanks Emma. Yeah, if you read Em's last post on the 'Mainly for Girls' store you'll have read about its range of piercings.

So, like the good little ace reporter I am, I toddled on over there with a brief, to purchase and retrofit one of Liann's nipple rings as a Prince Albert piercing.

I'm guessing that a bit of experimentation (again using Midnight Lotus free cocks) would allow for the application of a resized nipple ring to be linked to a cock in order to create a cock ring. Remember, people. It's SL and your imagination is permitted to run riot. You do not need to necessarily use items in the format their designer ascribed to them.

Mainly for girls

I promised, a week or so back, to do a post on piercings. I'm still working on the first post on this topic as I planned, but in the meantime I've discovered 'Mainly for Girls', a small store run by Liann Shilova, who has the unfortunate luck to be from the English Riviera, it looks like, and the pain of following Torquay United. I feel your pain, sister. I grew up being dragged to Carlisle United games with my Dad and brother when we lived in the Lake District.

I want to post Mainly for Girls in isolation because their stuff is all free!!! That's rings of all description (including some for fingers, lol) as well as the lip rings, nose rings, nipple rings and the coyly named 'lower lips rings' :)

I'm not proposing to photograph the stuff, simply because of the sheer volume of it, but be assured it's all good, and I'd encourage those into intimate bling to pop on over there.

SL is pissing me off right now. Or maybe it's the constant cold weather. Or a combination of both. My internet is hard-wired, around the outside of my house, and I'm beginning to think constant hard frosts are messing up the connection, which is sometimes difficult, sometimes impossible. When I do get logged in, I can't TP. Or I get half way through a TP and get logged out. Is it the weather? Or is it the latest version of Phoenix? I can't decide. Oh yeah, and then there's the constant, constant, constant 'ruthing' problem where I'm returned to my yellow skin and ginger mullet. Not a good look for a 'sexy second life', trust me.

It's very frustrating, because there are a lot of good, sexy items around the grid right now in the lead up to Christmas. Things are so bad I even resorted to downloading the official SL viewer. That's how bad things are.

Anyway, rant over.

While the weather outside is frightful, here's something that's delightful, a freebie Xmas 'kini from Nada's. I've never bothered much with nightwear before. In RL I sleep nude, you see, and, well, my SL would reflect that I suppose. It just never occurs to go shopping for jammies.

But WoE's pre-12 days of Christmas changed my mind about that, since they were offering, on Day 1, a lovely set of pyjama pants coupled to a tank top. Yeah, it's cold outside and about to get colder here in the UK (again?????) and maybe a pyjama set is the ticket for these cold winter nights, the frosts and the snow. Yummy, PJ bottoms in a variety of colours and the tanks...well, you can see how cold it is with this semi-transparent top with the nipply effect, lol.

It isn't the first time WoE have offered nipply style tanks. And what I say is, the more the merrier.

Let's get Glamorized (2)

I don't know much about American politics, but I do know that President Obama came in for a lot of criticism for his use of the 's' word, despite the fact that he didn't actually say it. 'Socialism'. It appears that right-wing America seemed to think that basic human decency was a roundabout way of being a 'C' word...communist.

Much of SL is based on an American economic model and mirrors the American Dream. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. To aspire to be....whatever....is an admirable goal. So before anyone imagines this post is a remotely 'anti American' diatribe, calm down. It isn't. I, too, aspire to a sprawling house on an SL private island. In fact, my RL finances are such that I could do it, but choose not to because I really can't justify that spend on something I maybe devote 6-7 hours to a week (or not, if RL demands).

However (you knew there was a 'however', didn't you?) not all of the world shares the same economic model or social values. In my previous post I referenced the SL stores that have closed this year as a possible result of a RL economic downturn.

SL haemorraging good designers and good stores is a problem for all of us, because they drive, to a certain degree, the entire existence of SL. We rely on a constant and growing number of players to feed Linden Labs, otherwise the entire metaverse could potentially collapse. So we need to do what we can to encourage new players and, equally importantly, encourage them to stick around. For that reason the likes of Yoko Leeeroy's Glamorized store is an important addition to SL's commercial development.

I note that there appear to have been criticism of Yoko's profile and some debate on Ruthed.com (I also contribute to it) in which Gogo (Ruthed's owner) comes down firmly on the side of Yoko's egalitarian store, while others, mostly designers/store owners with their knickers in a twist, are almost condemnatory. Let's leave the drama aside and concentrate on her product, shall we?

I've not used tattoos before because, well, tattoos were tattoos and I hate them in RL and not much less in SL. To me they signify lumpen-brained neanderthals (blokes) and skanky ho's (girls). So tattoo layers, until now, have passed me by because they weren't something I wanted or needed. Yoko's use of them alters my perception, as her tattoos are for eyeshadow, lipstick and so on. This is a wonderful discovery! Why? Because it opens up the potential for an entirely new approach to SL skin application, with regard to make up.

Until now it was a case of wearing a 'nude face' skin or maybe a 'glam skin' variant of the same. All make up or no make up. I don't know about you, but I try to wear the same sking constantly because it's a reflection on RL. We're pretty much stuck with the skin we're in, notwithstanding a tan or the application of a bit of lippy to make us more glamorous. Lip or eye tattoo layers change the playing field. We can wear the same 'nude face' skin on a daily basis for our general meanderings around the grid, and then make up our faces accordingly for that big night out, dancing with our significant other or some cute guy we've met in a SL ballroom.

Such wonderful potential!

I am firmly predicting that tattoo layers as cosmetics will be a BIG 2011 development in SL, particularly amongst skin designers who will move to offer, with increasing volumes, that 'nude faced' basic skin, to which an entire range of lippy or mascara or blusher can be applied. And why stop there? I'm not sure how it would look, but it seems to me that pubic hair layers, worn beneath panties, are another potential use of tattoo layers. And I predict that Yoko may well be in the vanguard of SL's 'next big 2011 thing' by developing her cosmetics tattoo layers further.

Diane found Yoko's store independently of me (we pretty much read the same blogs, however) and unknown to me had been over there purchasing some items, lol.

Erotic and exotic? Yes. Look at Di's photo. A sexy white lace bra, part of a set that offers about 10 different colours of bra, and a bunch of tops that go over the bra, yet reveal it with scoooped necks. Sexy. A hint of what lies below. Of course it's erotic. Sort of 'sensible' and not slutty either. And only L$10 for the fatpack.

The glasses give Diane a kind of 'sexy secretary' look, which guys love, and she's also sporting a Yoko skin with pink lippy. It's a fabulous look, I think.

Just wait...in a year's time there'll be a couple of dedicated cosmetics stores (probably run by avis called Max Factor Resident and Yax Mardley Resident), dedicated to tattoo layers that help you glamourise yourself for that big night out.

Let's get glamorized!

I have bemoaned the SL economy for most of this year, as many stores appear to have gone out of business. Yes, the real world is harsh right now, and many SL players have to economise on their RL budgets, to the point where a hobby/pastime/social networking service like SL takes second place. Even without owning a shop or house, I've found myself being frugal with my linden dollar spend this year, and it all mounts up to a gloomy SL economy.

So...with just a couple of weeks left of 2010, it's just fabulous to bring you some great news about a store that is bucking the trend and providing a whole stack of exceptionally affordable skins, clothes, poses, teeth tattoos, etc.

I sent Mal over there with L$20 to see what she could achieve and she came back as an almost entirely new Mal! With change! LOL. Suitably buoyed by this, I tp'ed over myself to pick up a few items.

I got wind of Yoko Leeroy's store via the Juicybomb blog (an essential read!) and you can visit Glamorized via the link.

There is a marvellous array of exceptionally affordable items in the store, and there is no skimping on quality to provide these items at these prices. Look at the two photos of Mal above. The first is a skin which, as you can see from the nude photograph, is of superb quality. In the second Mal models a set of glasses at L$3, and a tank top and hippie jeans priced at a couple of dollars each. I mean, wow!!!!

Do these items fit into this blog's brief, I hear you ask? Absolutely. From newbie to glamour babe in three easy movements which are, essentially, 1) join SL, 2) spend three real life dollars on it, lol, and 3) visit Glamorized.

Let me say, just before closing this post out, and immediately beginning Let's get Glamorized part 2, is that Yoko Leeeroy has achieved a breakthrough of sorts here, and the sort which can redefine and reinvigorate a relatively flat SL economy, an issue as close to my heart as the exploration of the sexy when inworld, and more of which in the next post. Piercings and pubes

It's impossible to buy everything that I see and which may be suitable for this blog page, and for that reason the two photographs shown are of demo versions (L$0) of pubic hair and of a genital piercing plus genitals, both available from Emma Nguya's +EM *BDSM Toys shop, as well as many other poses, mostly BDSM related.

Back to the photos. The first one, the pubic hair with the word 'demo' clearly visible, show a fairly seriously trimmed bush, but there's something sweet about it. Makeover time

A reader writes...'you've changed your look! You are different in recent photos than you are in the blog header. Any reason why?'

Yep. It's the end of the year. It's a time for death of the old and the birth of the new. Think of 'old father time', the changing seasons and a time of 'rebirth'. My avi's shape remains constant but, as in RL, skins change (reflecting us getting a bit of a tan in summer) and so does hair. Especially hair, where we can all change style and colour constantly.

On a more sub-conscious level, so do the clothes. New clothes pop up all the time in SL, so the wardrobe constantly evolves, but I think our SL clothes sometimes reflect our RL reality. Sitting in a snowy, freezing England there's suddenly more appeal for that big coat than for a bikini or less. I like nothing better than flinging the clothes off to tan on an SL nudist beach regularly, and avi-watch, but I'm not in the mood for that right now. A big coat and a pair of boots reflect my RL reality in SL.

And the end of year advent calendars and hunts make for a LOT of freebies, hence the ability to remake/remodel (note the Roxy Music reference there, yeah?).

It's a great time for new players in SL, as there are dozens of freebies added each day, giving players the opportunity to tinker with their look, their style. And I think that feeling doesn't go away at this time of year in subsequent years. The period coming up to Christmas in SL is always exciting, and always a period of great avi change. Perhaps Linden Labs feel the same. Is their new single name policy coincidental to the time of year? Or did they plan the capacity to offer new players something new?

Sheer

I don't normally do hunts, as I get bored with the search after two minutes. It has to be something exceptional that makes me pursue a hunt item. And for inferred, revealing yet coy sexiness, the shirt (photographed above) is worth the pursuit.

A refreshing approach to blog nudity

This week Malgorzata pointed me at the freebiesowo blog. It's Polish (hence Mal's interest in it), but more importantly it demonstrates the division between north American and European bloggers, because Madelaine, who writes the freebiesowo blog, is not afraid to photograph n*ppl*s, lol.

Now, while this blog does photograph nipples for their own sake, self-censorship doesn't appear to occur to Madelaine because of a different, European, perspective to SL nudity. No ridiculous pasties turn up on Madelaine's pages!

Ultimately, it's pixel photography, and it's cartoon representation of human form, so not really 'pornographic' (although I would not have any issue in my blog with representing pixel porn). But Madelaine simply photographs the skins as they come, nipples and all, and it's a better representation of the skin than some of these arms crossed or hand-bra photos that proliferate when reviewing skins, simply because the shadows where the skins are designed (particularly below the bust) are hidden until you wear them. A free, open approach to nudity is vital when reviewing and photographing skins.

Don't be put off by the Polish language. Madelaine's blog is fairly intuitive, thanks to the photos, prices and hyperlinks being shown, and it's fairly easy to guess at much of what is being said (although I do have my own personal interpreter, lol!)

Free 'cocks'

I don't like the word 'cock', preferring to call it by its proper name, 'penis'. But that's how Midnight Lotus are describing them, so that's how I'll blog them.

Midnight Lotus's shop is offering 'free cocks'. Non-scripted, which means they're non-functioning, won't become erect, cum or pee, but Midnight Lotus are to be congratulated for providing them!

They're a good colour and realistic, and as the absence of a penis is an issue fraught with panic for most new SL males, their existence MUST be promoted as widely as possible. Yes, there are other free cocks available, but none (that I've seen) match the quality of these new(?) items.

If you're a newbie guy, mosey along to Midnight Lotus's shop for a grab (!!!) of this fabulous item in the much larger Penis and Pussy Mall.

My search inferred there was a free pussy (or vagina as I'd prefer to call it) available at Midnight Lotus too, but this doesn't appear to be correct, and so I embarked on a search for free pussies to complement the new 'man gear' Midnight Lotus have provided you gents with.

I set down at Script where a freebie (pubed) vagina is available (not quite pubed enough for this blog's liking, if you've been reading the older posts, lol) but it will get new female players started with their equipment.

When I came into SL the 'Figgis Realistic Pussy' was available all over the grid for free in shaved and pubed variants. 'Figgis' seemed to leave SL, and the freebie pussies disappeared from view, around about the time that the 'adult' designation appeared, but you can still find them (often priced at L$39!). Don't pay it. They were originally free, and paying that for them now is exploitation. I looked and found it difficult to find the free shaved variant which many SL ladies prefer (but so passe ladies!)

I note that Freebies World and Freebies Galaxy both are suggested as suppliers in a search, but I didn't check them out. If it's a free shaved variant you want, try 'figgis realistic pussy' or 'freebies world pussy' or 'freebies galaxy pussy' in the search box and see what turns up.

The foreskin

Most guys in SL are circumcised. While this may reflect the RL reality for north American readers (and thus the majority of SL users), here in Europe the circumcised penis is much rarer. A pity, because to my eyes the circumcised penis has an aesthetic beauty lacking in an uncut penis. Sorry, European guys! The idea that the circumcised penis is much, much prettier may be making your eyes water, but that's my view.

And, I am reliably informed, oral sex with a circumcised guy is much, much more preferable, from a woman's perspective, than with an uncut penis.

Our next (anonymous) model is a European guy who has chosen to utilise the foreskin option available on an Xcite penis. I met him at a nudist sim recently and the topic...er...came up. His view was that he should try to accurately reflect his real life (uncut, European) self, so has used the foreskin attachment consistently since purchasing his Xcite gear.

Our model says (and demonstrates) that it is possible to change the colour of the penis's head, making it a more authentically different colour to the shaft and foreskin of the penis, as in RL, and the photographs demonstrate the xcite penis in its full glory, shrinking back (and the foreskin retracting back over the head) to its flaccid state.

I watched (and photographed) the entire procedure (but I'll spare you the 'money shot' pix, lol) and I have to say that it's very realistic and true to real life. I'm guessing that the head of the penis can also be separately coloured if the user is wearing a circumcised version. In my experience many guys don't do this in SL, which is a pity, because it would add authenticity to their avis. Guys...if you do use Xcite gear, please experiment with the colour hud to enhance your avi's look. Thanks.

A complaint from a reader

I've been admonished by one reader for presenting photographs that are 'too small'. Can I just remind readers that clicking on the photograph will open up a full sized image?

The Christmas Rush begins (1)

There isn't a snowball in hell's chance (see what I did there?) of us effectively covering all of the items now being offered to us, so we're going to have to be selective about what we model/photograph, although we will attempt to at least list all items.

You see, Christmas is coming, and it's the traditional season of giving, not least in SL with a myriad of freebies, dollarbies and group gifts that reflect the time of year. While not totally 'seasonally coloured' (i.e, white, green or red), Alphamale and Blacklace have a couple of free gifts at their store, and Mal is modelling a couple of sets, including a blue/grey corset set and a black bra and panties set. The location was (as it often is with Malgorzata) Fotoscope, and I deliberately encouraged her to stay away from snow scenes, lol, as I'm confident we'll have many of those over the next three weeks.

By the way, Mal is complaining about an attack of the 'Ruths' (you know where your skin/shape won't load and you appear to have sprouted a ginger mullet?). I've not been bothered myself so far, but I do believe it's become a more regular issue for SL users. One theory I've heard is that Linden Labs are shoving traffic through already busy servers that are 'losing' bits and pieces of us to the extent that a rebuild of the avatar is necessary.

I mention this because Jimmy has been struck down, and has decided to re-invent himself, lol, so don't be surprised if you don't recognise him on his next contribution. But, my! He looks sexy with it!

And following on from Silje's post

Following on from Silje's post, I've had a poke around in SL and discovered that there's an entire box of breast cancer related items free at Joanna Loon's Loony Bin shop.

In the pic (above) I'm wearing a 'think pink' tank top and the familiar pink ribbon from the box, which also includes notecards relating to breast cancer.

I would also encourage everyone to check out the UK's Breast Cancer Care website, Breakthrough, or for you to google the relevant support agencies or charities in your own country. The American Cancer Society, for example, has a significant SL inworld presence, so check out their sim.

Breast Cancer Awareness month

We're late with this, and it's not our usual sort of posting, but I felt it was important enough to post anyway, as it's relevant to all women. I received a small portfolio of photographs featuring poses from Glitterati (they're free!) to highlight Breast Cancer Awareness, and also the following text from Silje Krokus, who runs the 'Over 50' group in SL. I'll therefore hand this post straight over to Silje, and let her explain in her own words.

'Hi. I'm Silje (a European variant on Celia) and I run the 'Over 50' group in SL for those of us who are exactly as the name implies. I don't know how it is elsewhere in the world but once over 50 in the UK, women are invited to have mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer, which I believe is one of the major cancers that result in death in women around the globe. I saw that Glitterati were offering free poses to highlight breast cancer, and so with some trepidation I got my kit off, lol, and posed for some photographs by Diane Toxx, whom I believe you know. As your blog seems to encourage a little skin, I'd be grateful if you'd agree to post one or two and use them to highlight the issue and make women aware for the need to self-check regularly for lumps or anything abnormal, and also to make them aware of the need to have mammograms regularly. I'll link your blog to my group if you're in agreement, and maybe we can use SL to highlight awareness about this horrible illness, which is a cause close to my heart as it killed both my mother and an aunt. Another aunt underwent a mastectomy when cancer was discovered. Please write back with a yes or no'.

There could be no 'no'. I agree with all Silje wrote, and her IM is offered in its entirety. I'm more than happy to highlight the issue and encourage all female readers of this blog to self-examine, and for male readers to get their wives, girlfriends or significant others to do the same.

Poses 2 and 3 (above) are from the set, and Diane says she was struck by the fact that Silje used a 'mature' avi that we're all agreed looks fabulously sexy, proving that a carefully constructed avi can reflect the user's real age, and still look stunning. Diane cajoled Silje into removing her glasses (photo 1) and you have to agree that she looks simply fabulous! We don't all have to have that early 20s, eternal youth, Dorian Gray look, do we?

By the way, if you're over 50 and in world, look up Silje's group. They seem to be fairly active with events in world.

Body piercings

I'm working on a post that will focus on body piercings next. It's taking longer than anticipated, so bear with me until I compile a decent-ish list of links and photos.

In the meantime, here in the UK we're experiencing record low temperatures for November and I'm really feeling the cold. While my avatar cruises around SL in bikinis or less most of the time, I've been shopping for SL winter clothes so best to reflect my 'mood'. It's the first time I've ever felt any need for my avi to accurately reflect a RL feeling.

The Island of the Naked Angels is this week's big find. A naturist sim (and readers will know how much this blog loves naturist sims) which, like me, lol, is small and perfectly formed. Some naturist sims (and other locations) make the mistake of sprawling their facilities over a large area, which may be good for those private moments, but much less valuable for the social element of SL.

There are some lovely poseballs at 'Naked Angels', as well as the usual clubhouse, swimming and sexy facilities. I suggest you tp over there and say 'hi!' to whoever's there. It's a location I'll be visiting regularly, as soon as I sort out my internet provider issues. This week's lack of blogging and inworld activity is directly attributable to a change of ISP, and some real hassles with the 'wireless' end of it. It's perfectly workable in the room with the modem, but elsewhere is problematic. As soon as I can sort this out, then more inworld exploration, to bring you the best of the exotic and erotic, will follow. Mal has already been over to the 'Naked Angels' island for a photoshoot using some of the poses, and these will probably be uploaded to the flickr stream in a day or two.

Pubic hair is back?

I've received a query from a reader regarding our models 'all sporting pubes' and questioning this.

1. It's the models own choice whether or not to wear a 'grown up' look.

2. The wheel has turned anyway and pubic hair is on the way back. In RL that's a generational thing, but my own observations from RL (in changing rooms and naturist beaches) are that lady fluff is in the throes of a renaissance. From a personal POV, that's pleasing. I've never favoured the shaved look. Gents were always less likely to shave, but interestingly in naturist circles they're lagging slightly behind in this and if they did shave, are continuing to do so (perhaps because it makes their penis look 'bigger', or so it is claimed). But mark my words, gentle reader, pubic hair is on the way back, and this is true of SL too. In the time since I joined I have noticed a marked increase in the use of pubic underpant layers, and prim pubes.

Pubic hair is always something I will enthusiastically blog, and I'm going to be producing a post next of current locations for as many SL pubes as I can find. I'd be pleased if any reading store owners could keep me informed of their wares, and new releases.

Lingerie and naturism, combined.

The exotic and the erotic, our tagline reads. So here's a post with a frisson of each.

I picked up the latest group gift at Lingerie Boutique/Aotearoa and had the pleasure of being able to give it away to Malgorzata. This was a simple, fantastic pleasure, almost like being able to pass on nice dress to a RL friend. Wouldn't it be fabulous if all SL shopping afforded us the same luxury? The group gift, a corset set, looks fabulous (see Mal's photos 3 & 4, above). This is the November group gift. Not free, but as good as priced at L$10. The October group gift is also still available for the same sum.

As well as being our lingerie model, Mal is also a dedicated naturist, and she has free rein to choose her locations. So she tp'ed over to the Egypt Naturist Holiday sim, a new one to me. When Mal's photos arrived I thought it looked interesting, so tp'ed over myself and spent quite a long time wandering around what looks like a large and rapidly developing sim. Stunning, really, with an Egyptian theme (see Mal's photos 1 & 2 for a taste of the marketplace, which includes some yummy looking baguettes) and a lovely looking water feature. For all of you who do like to run around in the noddy from time to time (and that includes me!) I fully expect this to become a popular location.

Also very well done is the fact that Nikita Neuman, Egypt's owner, has separated the sex poseballs well away from the rest of the sim. I accept that sex poseballs are an integral part of SL (this blog is testament to that), but I don't like it 'in your face'. Unless the sim is a dedicated voyeurism/exhibitionism location, I prefer the sex to be private and slightly removed from the rest of the location. In this, Nikita has done a superb job of making the sex poseballs discreet, so top marks for doing that.

If you'll forgive me, I'll end there and put my clothes into a little pile on the beach and spend time wandering around Egypt Naturist myself!

Over at Violetta Carolina's discoverA shop is a wall filled with variously coloured pubic hair. Just when I thought that there was no more lady (or gent) fur to discover in SL, I managed to locate this via the SL Marketplace and from there TP over to the shop. I'm pretty well fixed for feminine fluff right now, lol, so I got one of this blog's readers (who was looking for fem fluff) to buy it on the condition she modelled for us, lol! (Well, why not spread the linden love and fix up someone a bit short of cash! It's good to be able to help)

While wishing to remain anonymous, we got the snap, and you can see how nice it is, representing untamed girl fur in all its glory. An absolute snip (pardon the shaving pun) at L$99, it's in a variety of colours and as far as I can see, practically invisible in search, but easily traceable via SL Marketplace. And to rectify matters (this little beauty, worn as an underpant layer) the link above will TP you directly to the discoverA shop.

Get over there now! What we discovered was that in adding a pants layer it had the added bonus of having our anonymous model wearing panties with stray hairs peeking out. So true to life! (grinz).

The Bullet Bra

There's something glam/erotic about Tiny's latest offering, the bullet bra. Yes, I'm thinking 'Madonna', but also the lingerie of German photographer Horst. More so Horst, since I'm the world's least enthusiastic Madonna fan, either for style or for music. And I don't find her 'in your face' style particularly classy or erotic. I tried black and white, to give it that post-war Horst feel, but then I wasn't doing justice to the delightful little blue bows on the corset/panties. So in the end I opted for colour shots, to end up with a portfolio of shots that tried to capture the essence of this retro, oozing eroticism offering from Tiny's design table.

An interesting aspect of this design is the bullet cups themselves, which are individually adjustable. Not being very well endowed, in RL or in SL, lol, I adjusted them 'inwards' a little to give some sense of proportion to my avi. And just how glamourously sexy is the result? I'm lost for words on this one. It gives a superb sense of 1940s/1950s proper lingerie, properly constructed lingerie and, where Madonna looks cheap, this looks stunning. Besides, you can wear it successfully with or without the bullet cups, and it still looks fabulous. Take away the pants layer and the underpants layer, worn alone, has the effect of making it look more modern, modern in a 1970s sense of sexy femininity. In effect what Tiny has done here is to provide you with two sets of lingerie in one.

How much value for money is that???????

The Dead play Eden Naturopolis

'I'm resident at the Eden Naturopolis sim (tp takes you to the main entrance hall, not my apartment, lol), so wandering around I'm fully aware of what events are imminent. Yesterday it was the turn of the SL Grateful Dead to appear, with part of the harbour converted into a massive floating stage and dance area. This was my first SL gig, and my first Dead concert, so I was very interested to see how the entire process operated. Despite being, er, dead, both Gerry and Pigpen looked pretty chipper on it, and the organisation behind it all was impressive.

A huge stage (I nipped around the back while the curtain was still down, then slipped away before anyone should mistake me for a groupie), massive and very, very impressive lighting rig, mixing desk, the entire works had been rezzed to provide an authentic looking layout of an actual concert, including freebie lighters to wave in the air and, because it was the Dead, fat doobies. Because I wanted to report on it all with a clear head, I decided not to partake myself but with the heady aroma of herbal smoke surrounding me began to make me feel, um, happy!

Kicking off bang on time, the Dead performed a series of crowd favourites and, judging by some of the commentary, less well know tunes. They're not a band I'm familiar with other than by reputation, so I was enormously surprised by the laidback country-tinged vibe to the music. I had expected something more spacey and psychedelic.

I've no idea how much of an audience SL gigs attract, but I was certainly impressed by the turnout. With SL existing as a social tool, there were certainly plenty of social opportunities to chat with others and, happily, most conversation appeared to be taking place in local chat, so it added to a very social vibe. I confess that I sat and watched, taking in the experience rather than dancing or inhaling, and cammed around while listening to music all totally new to me. I'm not really in a position to judge what people thought about their set, but the crossfading from one track to another was seamless, and the music just flowed.

I'll be following the Dead in their further SL adventures, certainly, and I should also add that Abba are coming to Eden Naturopolis next Friday, October 29th. I'm not the world's greatest Abba fan, or even a midde ranking one (they actually leave me cold), but I'll certainly be toddling along to share the experience.

Hair defines us

'Hair defines us'. So says Candi Socke, a New Yorker domiciled in Britain for many years. Yes, she agreed to pose for the blog but, 'the clothes stay on'. Fair enough. Nevertheless, Candi was happy to share a number of hairstyles with us that, she says, have defined her SL since she joined. 'I like them all, the ones I've bought. Each of them pretty much replicates periods of my real life and teenage and youth experiments with hairstyles as I sought to find the real me. I think we do that with avatars too.'

Now settled on the style in pic 5 'for now', Candi says it's closest to her current RL style. Pic 1 was a style that 'reminded me of my teenage years', while pics 2 & 3 were 'the wild teenage styles. I still like to wear those afro styles in SL. They take me back to where I was at a specific age, and if I'm wearing an afro, I'm looking for the clothes to match, and then SL clubs where that style fits right in with the music being played. It can be all about re-capturing a place.'

'Hair defines us in SL, I think, much more than the clothes or even the personality, real or imagined, we project. We're searching for 'a look', and my various hairstyles have defined my SL persona much more readily than any other aspect of avatar construction. Once I've got the hair in place the clothes follow and, more importantly, so does the matter of mentally plugging Candi's avatar into a place, a time, a mood.'

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Some alterations are imminent on the blog.

I'm really excited by these, and an expansion of 'the team' to include some photography enthusiasts with specific interests in nude, glamour and lingerie photography (but we'll still be blogging those sexy, sexy, sexy outfits that capture our eye). No, we will not be attempting to replicate blogs like Fab Free or Second Life 24h as Renee and Linda do absolutely stunning work day and daily. I don't have the free time to undertake that, and why try to create a pale shadow of the best, in my opinion?

Our focus will be shifted elsewhere. Stay tuned.

A Tiny Gold Corset

I could easily run out of superlatives for Tiny Markham's stunning range of vintage lingerie. As most of this blog's readers will know, I've been a fan for almost my entire SL. Really, from the moment I discovered the search button and began to tap wildly at the keyboard for items I thought I would need, the search phrase 'vintage lingerie' has been a constant. And, quite honestly, no one, no exceptions, does vintage lingerie better than Tiny.

I'd like to blog a gold corset here next, and include three photographs of this superb creation. The top one shows the full ensemble, with a 'model', lol, on some exceptionally cold steps. The suffering I must do to bring these fantastic creations to you!!!!

But it's the second and third photographs I particularly want to bring to your attention. The second photograph has a focus on the suspender clips and the jaw-droppingly great two-tone stocking tops. What can you say? These are sooooo good! Vintage lingerie just has so much style, and there's style a-plenty in the design here. Just look at it! It's so.....wow! The suspender belt clips are so realistic to those of us who are enthusiasts of lingerie of a particular era, and any of us who have ploughed through style books of the 1950s and early 1960s will recognise the two-toned stocking tops. I, quite simply, would buy a set of the stockings for themselves, regardless of the accompanying lingerie set. This set of stockings are like to be a wardrobe fixture of weeks and months to come.

But wait! It doesn't stop there! The third photograph shows Tiny's unflinching eye for detail, and I've photographed a particularly favourite detail, the hooks and eyes of the corset front. Are you likely to see better? I say not.

And while the suit worn on the album sleeve of Elvis's '50 Million Elvis Fans can't be wrong' looks a little bit tacky, there's nothing tacky with the 'gold' involved here, the 'gold' in question being rather more muted, and so much the better for it. There's a suggestion in the name that it could be tacky. Hey, this is Tiny we're talking about. There's nothing tacky involved. Ever.

'Gold' is a hinted colour, not a clue to the presence of 'bling'. I'm going to be careful not to ladder these stockings because you -we- aren't going to find better for a long time. These stockings are going to be a constant and probably the corset too, but when my usual attire, the ladies' business suit goes on, there's not going to be much hint of the foxy interior to the professional exterior. Only a 'close personal friend' is going to discover the fabulous gold corset.

And, by the way, those of you who have seen the film, 'The Runaways', released earlier this year, will be aware of the Cherie Currie corset that was a stage favourite. I just might have to start wearing this if someone starts up a Runaways SL tribute sim!!!!!

Howie takes a shower.

Well! We'll kick off with my 'new best friend', Howie, who I met at the Eden Naturopolis sim -a naturist sim. Howie had just been for a swim and was showering when I passed, and he said 'hello'. We got talking, this blog was discussed, and he agreed to pose for a few pictures as he was showering. I've got lots more, and doesn't he look cute, girls, but we'll begin the revived blog with this shot, which just seemed so natural. Yummy, in fact!

I'd hopped off the girl poseball to take the pic, and get him alone, which is why he's there, solo, but it's a great example of genuine naturism and he's totally unconcerned by my, or the camera's, presence.

I'm back

A bit of soul searching went on. Did SL need a blog of the type I initially envisaged? The answer is 'yes', but maybe not just as I planned. I've re-jigged my 'vision' for the site, and what I do plan to do with it, as much as 'eroticism' is now to include a lot of nude photography and lingerie type photography as well as a less 'in your face' eroticism. Hopefully the nude photography will also be 'erotic' in a fine-art/glamour configuration. Let's see where it goes...together!

Blog suspended (temporarily)

There has been a lack of activity on this blog recently. Holidays, for one, but more importantly, what I thought was a unique blog isn't as unique as I thought.

There are other blogs covering much the same territory as this one (links to follow), and I'm busy reading and following these right now. If it should seem as though the territory I planned to cover is merely duplicating someone else's work, it is my intention to take this blog down.

I can't see the point in 'more of the same'.

Right now, I'm busy reading and following those blogs. Depending on how active they are, there may not be a place for this blog.

My erotic adventures are supposed to progress incrementally. OK, some people's first sexual encounter/experience may have been full intercourse, but these folk would be rare. I find that good lingerie can be exceptionally erotic because, at the right moment, as the clothes begin to slip to the floor, and reveal a whole new strata of arousing lingerie, it can be enormously exciting.

While this blog isn't intended to be a shopping blog (so many more do it so much better, such as Fab Free, Arya, Resa and so on) I do occasionally chance upon items I simply must share with you.

Lately, I've been exploring good quality (and free or cheap) lingerie. Again, you will find many, many instances of its availability via Renee's blog or Arya's, so there's not much need for me to go there. Instead, I find myself drawn to other shops, and slightly different items that aren't (often) shown in mainstream blogs. Items I like.

I would never consider buying a L$250 dress in SL when there are so many excellent freebies and group gifts around, but there is no limit to what I would spend on quality lingerie, lol.

I'll be editing this post later today, to include photos of charming freebie and cheap lingerie.

Life as a boy, part 1

By 'boy' I do, of course, mean 'man'. Yes, I created an alt, who shall remain anonymous for now, as it affords me the opportunity to spend a lot of time observing events laid out before me rather than, as a female, being sucked into them by constant 'hi!, sexy' IMs.

That's not to say I don't actually enjoy the conversation that sometimes arises from these encounters, but sometimes observing can be more enlightening as to the way in which people approach their sexuality in SL.

So this last while has been spent not being Emma, and rather being a rather crassly assembled 'noob' guy. You know, the type that still has a typing animation, noob walk, noob hair, noob cock. I'm not about to change this look as I like the amateurish way in which 'he' is constructed, and all the more likely to not attract too much attention (other than for people to maybe remark on how dreadful he looks, lol).

Suffering from an overdose of the World Cup, I sneaked in a quickie (camping holiday) free of television, returning last night and stepping through my door just into time to see the closing credits of BBC's world cup coverage. Perfect timing.

Freed of my computer, I also spent the time with a pen and paper (remember them?) scribbling tales for The Library of Erotica's short story competition (I've posted about them elsewhere), which was kind of naughty and fun to do, working the naughtier side of my brain, lol, to come up with something entertaining. I think one of the stories will be called 'The Peach', but that's open to revision.

Anyway, it's good to be back and my adventures in SL will now continue more regularly.
