Explorations of the erotic and exotic in Second Life
All information is correct at the date of posting. The blog is usually updated on a weekly basis, often every few days, dependent on RL and the availability of material to blog. Please do not write to complain that a slurl no longer works or that a location has disappeared. It's Second Life, remember? Things change with great speed. Locations/stores blogged are listed in the sidebar, and updated frequently. If somewhere has moved location or closed, please use the inworld search box to look for it.
My English is not so good. Forgive me for mistakes. This week I have protested against ACTA, the Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agrreemnt, signed in Tokyo this week by our prime minister, Donald Tusk. I was very young when the communist regime in Poland was destroyed, but my parents grew up in that time, and we know what freedomes are. We wish to preserve them, not to have our freedomes destroyed by a new regime. The internet should be free, not controlled by government. I resist this act and wherever you are in the world you should resist theese attacks on freedomes too. I say no to Acta.
email received from Malgorzata, Saturday 26th January, 2012
Lack of posts? Yes. I've been beavering away behind the scenes attempting to build a 'team' with which to operate 2ex.
I'm happy to say that I've managed to get Malgorzata to agree to continue as our lingerie model, providing a link to the old Emmanuelle's blog. I have tried to contact both Emmanuelle herself -the offer remains open for her to act as 'contributing editor'- without success (so far). Vajeena has also responded in the affirmative to contributing, but is currently busy with RL, thus ensuring continued absence for a period of time yet.
I shall still be attempting to contact the other previous contributors over the next few days and weeks, but in all honesty I don't expect to be continuing with the 'sex' pages that both Honey and Rosemary provided. Their writing was great, but it seems that their contributions weren't readily appreciated by readers, and what I've been able to ascertain is that this blog is popular for newbies who've had a need to find free and cheap items to enhance their SL experience. Therefore, in the short term, the aim is to build on this foundation.
The lack of posts between the new year and now can be put down to the fact that we, in SL, have had a sort of post-Christmas lull, particularly in the area of 'sexy' items, but with St. Valentine's Day looming into view, SL's beginning to warm up with regards to 'sexy', so stay tuned.
Hi Everyone, I'm Jayne Chun, the new owner/editor/author of 2EX, having taken over from Emma(nuelle). More posts in the next couple of days from me, but a bit of background information first.
I'm British, 30 later this year, and I've been in SL for about three years. I also run/own another blog, which isn't SL related, so I will not link to it here because a) you're unlikely to be interested in that element of my life and b) it would too readily identify my real life.
What have I done in SL? Shopped, socialised, been a nun (yes, really!), a 1920s cabaret 'singer' (yes, really!) and a couple of other things too, so I've had a fairly varied Second Life so far. I don't want to mess with 'the franchise' too much in the early days, so don't expect too much change in the 2ex style and layout in the short term. I've also already been in touch with some of Emma's old staff to see if they're interested in continuing to contribute, and I shall also contact the remainder over the next 48 hours or so. I've also hopefully got another couple of new faces lined up to add to the mix, and the offer remains open for Emmanuelle to return as a contributor at any point in the future.
One change you will see in the coming days/weeks will be the introduction of more in the way of 'sexy' clothing reviews and previews, something that Emmanuelle didn't do too often. There's a lot of sexy freebies out there, and I shall do what I can to blog some of them for you.
Feel free to contact me via IM or email (it's email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org). I've already taken the step of making this blog readable on smartphones. I'm not quite sure how you do this myself, but apparently I've made this option available, so you can read 2ex on the bus or in the office.
